I was running in Vibrams and I told the kids I'll be hanging them up! (the vibrams not the kids)
I wish I had known about these and tried them before I purchased the Vff, would have saved me some $$.
I wear my Vibrams at the office (I get weird looks but I figured they're at least semi-business casual – ?? no complaints yet).
I haven't run in Vibrams for about a year. I usually run completely barefoot. However, I've found that I refrain from running on very hot days and shorten my runs quite a bit. I'm going to experiment with extending my runs using the Connects I just ordered. I have an original pair of Invisible Shoes, but I have rarely run in them. The new improvements in the Connect have inspired me to give them a go again for running (that plus some of the new tying techniques). Plus, since my cutting techniques leave everything to be desired, my original pair look like they were made by a drunken monkey.
For me, VFFs are not fun to run in. Hiking? Yes! Daily wear? Yes! (if you can't wear flip-flops or the equivalent). But, I'll definitely wear my Connects everywhere else.
Glad to see there's a forum on this site now. It's been a while since I've been here but I'll check back in more regularly now.
