So, I just went n a short mile run with the kids and I love them.

I was running in Vibrams and I told the kids I'll be hanging them up!  (the vibrams not the kids)

I wish I had known about these and tried them before I purchased the Vff, would have saved me some $$.

It's so nice not to have my feet confined.  It's great to be able to feel the breeze and let my feet breath.

One question, typically how long do the laces last.  Does the knot underneath hold up.  Just wondering if I should be ordering extra laces.

Great huaraches, looks like you have yourself a new customer!

The knot on the bottom should last quite a while. Once it flattens out, assuming you're not scraping your feet on the ground, it doesn't get a lot of pressure on it.

There are people who are wearing the same laces they got 2 years ago. I've never worn out a lace.

Then again, there are a few who've replaced theirs after 4-6 months.

So, I guess it's kinda personal ;-) (But that's one reason we made replacement laces so inexpensive)

I wear my Vibrams at the office (I get weird looks but I figured they're at least semi-business casual – ?? no complaints yet).

I haven't run in Vibrams for about a year. I usually run completely barefoot. However, I've found that I refrain from running on very hot days and shorten my runs quite a bit. I'm going to experiment with extending my runs using the Connects I just ordered. I have an original pair of Invisible Shoes, but I have rarely run in them. The new improvements in the Connect have inspired me to give them a go again for running (that plus some of the new tying techniques). Plus, since my cutting techniques leave everything to be desired, my original pair look like they were made by a drunken monkey.

For me, VFFs are not fun to run in. Hiking? Yes! Daily wear? Yes! (if you can't wear flip-flops or the equivalent). But, I'll definitely wear my Connects everywhere else.

Glad to see there's a forum on this site now. It's been a while since I've been here but I'll check back in more regularly now.

Kelly
