Lateral movements in invisible shoes

I read in some review invisible shoes are awkward in lateral movement, as in playing frisbee. Last summer I went hiking (and running) in the Swiss mountains wearing conventional sandals. I found them moving to one side of my feet if the track sloped from left to right or vice versa, threathening to disrupt my balance. Besides that I found the slightly elevated heel rather a nuissance when descending but that is irrelevant for this question. I reckon the lace between de big toe and the other toes deal with this problem. What are you experiences in invible shoes on (lateral) uneven terrain?

Uneven terrain isn't an issue, because you're placing your feet not landing while still moving.

but fast, lateral movement is a different story. Like ANY footwear, if you're moving fast enough that the sole touches the ground while the foot is still rapidly moving, you'll get some "sliding." This is less noticable in shoes, obviously, but it's the reason why soccer players and sprinters lace up their shoes tightly.
